Leaf

What works the same as Notion

• Pages inside pages, with an icon and a cover on each, shown in a sidebar tree.
• Blocks for headings, lists, to-dos, quotes, code, dividers, images and tables, added with a slash menu or Markdown shortcuts.
• Favourites, a trash you can restore from, and search across page titles and text.
• Light and dark themes.

What is missing

• Databases, page links, Markdown import and export, and web bookmarks are still being built.
• Sync and team workspaces are planned for later; today it works on one computer.
• It is pre-alpha: the file format may still change, so keep backups.

How to get started

1. There's no download yet: you build it yourself from the code.
2. You need Rust and the just tool installed first, plus the build tools for your system.
3. Download the project, then run just run. Leaf opens and asks you to pick an empty folder as your workspace.
