Mister Download Manager
Clone of Internet Download Manager
Free, clean-room download manager for Windows and Linux, with experimental macOS builds. It keeps the window you know from IDM.

What works the same as Internet Download Manager
- Nothing new to learn: the toolbar, the categories and the list of downloads.
- It reads the command-line switches of Internet Download Manager.
- It catches downloads from Firefox, Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera and Vivaldi.
- Queues and a scheduler to download overnight.
- It also takes torrents and magnet links.
What is missing
- The macOS builds are experimental: the author has not tried them on a Mac yet.
- Windows may warn you the first time, because this early version isn't code-signed yet.
How to get started
- On the download page, pick the file for your system.
- On Windows, take the setup file: it installs the program, connects it to your browser and asks your language. If you prefer, the portable zip runs without installing.
- On a Mac, the experimental dmg: open it and drag MDM to Applications. On Linux, use the AppImage, the deb or the rpm.
