What works the same as Excel
- Excel's ribbon, formula bar, Name Box, sheet tabs and keyboard shortcuts.
- 513 of Excel's 523 worksheet functions.
- Opens and saves .xlsx files with formulas, charts, conditional formats and PivotTables.
- The fill handle, Format Cells and Paste Special.
What is missing
- It is an alpha version. The project says depth, fidelity and file compatibility are still rough, and puts it at about 50% ready for real work.
- Old .xls files open with their values and formulas, but without formatting or objects.
How to get started
- Click Download. It opens the GridCraft page on the ArtCraft site.
- Pick the version for your computer: Windows, Mac or Linux.
- Install it, open GridCraft and start a workbook or open an .xlsx file.
