What works the same as RPG Maker
- Map editing with four tile layers, autotiles and region painting, as in RPG Maker.
- A visual event editor with more than 100 commands and events with several pages.
- Database editors for the data of your game.
- Opens your RPG Maker MV and MZ projects and runs their plugins, even mixing MV and MZ plugins in one project.
- Playtest your game in one click and package it for Windows, Mac, Linux and the web.
What is missing
- It is alpha software: not every plugin, project or special case has been tested yet.
- Games made with RPG Maker 2000 to VX Ace are imported into a new project, and only what converts is kept.
How to get started
- Open the project's page on itch.io and download the file for your system: a zip for Windows, Mac or Linux.
- Unzip the file and open RPG Reactor, then open one of your RPG Maker projects or start a new one.
- Only open projects and plugins you trust: they run code on your computer.
