What works the same as Paint.NET
- The floating Tools, History, Layers and Colors panels sit over the picture, with the same menus on top.
- It has the effects and tools of Paint.NET, with a live preview while an effect dialog is open.
- Text stays editable after you place it.
What is missing
- Windows and Mac builds are unsigned, so the system warns you the first time.
How to get started
- Click Download. It opens the project page, where you can also try it in the browser.
- Take the file for your system: Windows, Mac with Apple silicon, Linux or FreeBSD.
- If your system warns about the file, allow it once. On Windows, keep the program next to its folders when you unzip it.
