What works the same as Power BI

• The ribbon, Filters, Visualizations and Data panes and page tabs sit where Power BI Desktop has them.
• Opens PBIP, PBIX and PBIT reports, with their data.
• Slicers, cross-filtering and tooltips work on the report pages.
• A model view of tables and relationships, and a DAX query view.
• Works offline, with no Power BI Desktop and no sign-in.

What is missing

• It is a viewer for now: it cannot edit or save reports yet.
• The installers are not signed, so your system may show a warning.

How to get started

1. Click Download. It opens the project versions page.
2. On Windows, run the setup file. If a warning appears, click More info and then Run anyway.
3. Open a Power BI file: .pbix, .pbip or .pbit.
